These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your engagement with Houzlook Interiors Pvt. Ltd., operating under the brand name Houzlook Interior Designers ("we", "us", "Houzlook"), for all interior design, modular furniture, and allied services provided at residential properties in India.
By signing a project contract, making a booking payment, or proceeding with our services in any form, you ("Client", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before engagement.
1. Services Overview
Houzlook offers the following services:
- Complete residential interior design (2BHK, 3BHK, 4BHK, Villa)
- Modular kitchen and wardrobe design and manufacturing
- Living room, bedroom, and bathroom interior design
- Commercial and office interior design
- 3D visualisation and design consultation
- Post-completion warranty services (11-year warranty on all completed work)
Services are currently available in Bangalore (Karnataka) and Bhubaneswar (Odisha). Houzlook reserves the right to accept or decline any project at its sole discretion.
2. Quotation, Design Approval & Contract
- All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise specified.
- A project formally commences only after the Client signs the Project Agreement/Contract and makes the required advance payment.
- Houzlook will prepare detailed 3D designs, elevations, and a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for Client review and approval prior to manufacturing or execution.
- Revisions to approved designs after production has commenced may incur additional charges, which will be communicated and agreed upon in writing before proceeding.
- Verbal instructions or changes communicated via phone are not binding. All design changes must be confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp with documented acknowledgement).
3. Payment Schedule
Standard payment milestones for residential interior projects:

- All payments are to be made via bank transfer, UPI, or cheque in favour of Houzlook Interiors Pvt. Ltd.
- GST at the applicable rate is payable in addition to project costs unless explicitly stated as inclusive in the quotation.
- Delayed payments beyond 7 days of due date may result in work pausing until dues are cleared.
- A 30% discount is available to clients who confirm and pay the booking amount on the same day as their showroom consultation ("Spot Booking Discount").
4. Project Timeline & Delay Penalty
- The project execution timeline (typically 45–60 days for full home interiors) will be agreed and stated in the Project Agreement.
- The timeline commences from the date of receipt of the advance payment and approved design sign-off.
- Delay Penalty: If Houzlook fails to complete the project within the agreed timeline (excluding delays caused by the Client, force majeure events, or unforeseen site conditions), Houzlook will compensate the Client at a rate equivalent to the Client's monthly rental cost for each week of delay, subject to a maximum of one month's rent.
- The delay clock is paused during: (a) Client-requested design changes, (b) delays in Client-supplied materials or access, (c) force majeure events, and (d) delays by Civil/Electrical contractors outside Houzlook's scope.
5. Warranty
- Houzlook provides an 11-year warranty on all interior work completed, covering manufacturing defects, structural failures in joinery, and material delamination under normal usage conditions.
- The warranty period commences from the date of project handover as documented in the Completion Certificate.
- Coverage includes: modular kitchen cabinets, wardrobe structures, hardware failure (under normal use), false ceiling structural integrity, and TV unit joinery.
- Warranty does not cover: damage from misuse, negligence, pest infestation, water seepage from external sources, natural disasters, or unauthorised modifications.

6. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate measurements, site access, and possession of the property before project commencement.
- Ensure civil, plumbing, and electrical rough-in work is completed before the agreed start date.
- Provide timely approvals on design drawings, 3D renders, and material selections as requested.
- Ensure a safe and accessible working environment for Houzlook's installation team.
- Inform Houzlook of any building society or apartment association restrictions on working hours or material delivery.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Before design commencement: Full refund if cancelled within 7 days of booking before any design work has begun.
- After design commencement: A design fee (10–15% of project value, as stated in the contract) will be deducted from the refund.
- After manufacturing commencement: No refund on amounts for materials or modules already manufactured or ordered.
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@houzlook.com. Refunds processed within 14 working days of approval.
8. Intellectual Property
All design concepts, 3D renders, drawings, and BOQs created by Houzlook remain our intellectual property until full payment is received. Upon full payment, designs are licensed to the Client for use at the specified project property.
Houzlook reserves the right to photograph completed projects for portfolio and marketing use. Notify us in writing if you prefer your home not to be featured publicly.
9. Limitation of Liability
Houzlook's total liability shall not exceed the total project value paid. We are not liable for consequential or indirect losses, damage to structures outside the contracted scope, or force majeure events.
10. Dispute Resolution
Disputes will first be addressed through direct negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the matter shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India).

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bhubaneswar, Odisha or Bengaluru, Karnataka, at Houzlook's election, depending on project location.
